This month, Bente Pelzer joined Smartfood R&D as a microbiology analyst. With the necessary experience in performing microbiological analyses and working in an ISO 17025 accredited environment, Bente will receive further internal training to enable her to make an important contribution to our growth ambitions. In addition to her passion for microbiological research, food safety and quality are themes that motivate her daily in her work as a microbiological analyst.
"Flexibility and accuracy are always important to me, especially because I know how big the impact of reliable laboratory analyses is in the food sector. Working in an ISO 17025 accredited environment is a self-evident thing for me, and I like to work proactively on process optimisations. The mission and vision of smartfood R&D really appeal to me, because in this role I can use my knowledge and experience within a growing and knowledge-driven organisation that focuses on safe and reliable food."
Since her first week at smartfood R&D, Bente has hit the ground running, thanks to the many shelf life studies being conducted in the final months of 2025. With the help and guidance of her colleagues, her structured approach and proactive work ethic, she has already mastered many tasks.
In recent weeks, we have come to know Bente as an eager to learn and driven colleague who knows how to get things done. Her enthusiasm for optimising business processes and ensuring quality is contagious and fits perfectly with the direction we have taken as a company. Bente is a valuable addition to the smartfood R&D team, and we look forward to a successful and long-lasting collaboration!
