Over the past year, we have expanded our range of challenge tests for pathogenic spoilage organisms to include Salmonella, E. coli, Bacillus cereus, and Staphylococcus aureus. Together with the Listeria monocytogenes challenge test, smartfood R&D now has the complete set: The Big Five.
With our extensive collection of pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms, we have all the relevant strains of pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria in-house for every product, every process, and every storage condition, enabling us to set up and perform challenge tests on every type of food imaginable.
During these challenge tests, we simulate worst-case conditions for each product and each process. With the expansion of our range of challenge tests, we offer our clients maximum certainty in identifying and controlling all possible microbiological risks.
